about us
Welcome to
Wat Khmer
Kampuchea Krom
Wat Khmer Kampuchea Krom, a Khmer Buddhist Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in 2018 and seeks to share the Buddha’s teachings and practice, teach and promote Khmer Krom arts, language, and culture to all those who are interested, and serve as a pillar of the Khmer Krom community. The organization does not engage or participate in any political activities.
The temple practices Theravada Buddhism, which emphasizes attaining self-liberation through one's own efforts. Meditation and concentration are vital elements of the way to enlightenment.
Lyna Lam, founder of Wat Khmer Kampuchea Krom, has worked hard to reach this moment. She envisioned a new governance structure for the small practicing community based in San Jose, CA and created the Foundation to establish a new temple as a fresh start that will instill goodwill and strong values for our future generations.
We are building the WKKK Temple to serve the community that currently seeks spiritual guidance at the Temple located at Sunset Court and look forward to welcoming many of the members at the new Temple. The Foundation does not have a formal relationship with the Association managing the Temple that our members currently visit.
On behalf of the Foundation and its members, thank you for your interest in Wat Khmer Kampuchea Krom, we look forward to staying in touch.
